Round 8, North Beach vs University marks Past Players and Supporters Day at Charles Riley Reserve.
All players and supporters, past and present are called to witness the North Beach boys take the field in three blockbuster fixtures.
The afternoon will roll into another social function with the North Beach Clubrooms hosting the ‘Blue Hornet’ live cover band who will belt out all your favourites all night. All friends of the North Beach club are invited to party with these guys following awards.
There will plenty of action off the field as well with our 20 year reunion of the 1993 A-Grade Premiership. The club will be supplying a keg and food for these guys in the player’s marquee who will be sure to relive some great memories and embellish a story or two.
1993 A-Grade commemorative jumpers will also be presented to the current players before the match to be worn on the day and then presented back to the premiership player after the game. This will be great opportunity for the North Beach faithful to get a look at the ‘old’ and ‘new’ of the mighty North Beach Club.
Another major component of the day is the official launch of the 1964 Club. The 1964 Club has been founded to help provide a place for the die-hard North Beach fans, players, friends and family members to contribute with a donation to the club and be recognised with a supporter’s membership to the club.
For a contribution of $50, each member will be given a North Beach hat with a unique membership number which will remain theirs. The ‘high-ticket’ numbers including playing numbers and premiership years are currently being bid for on the silent auction board inside the North Beach clubrooms. Get down to the club and place your bid as on this day, the winners of these auctions will be announced.
This is a day not to be missed for all North Beach fans. Get down and support the club in one of the last major functions in the old Charles Riley Clubrooms.
