Beach ready to spring to life

We look forward to seeing more of this in coming weeks!

Good news was abundant today.

As Western Australia continues to relax some of its strict COVID-19 protocols, with no ceiling on the number of people at gatherings, the caveat being the 2sqm per person rule is maintained, North Beach should be in full swing.

And the club will have all teams competing in the condensed nine-game Perth Football League season.

All lower grades will begin on July 4, while the A-Grade competition will commence with an away game against Trinity Aquinas on July 11. But the O’Rourke Realty A-Grade will be at home in round two against Collegians.

In a nine game season, the Beach will still get five home games hosting Scarborough and University in rounds six and seven, on August 15 and 22 respectively. That is a great outcome for our club and we look forward to seeing the faithful at Charles Riley Reserve for live football in just a couple of weeks.

So the club will go with a record number of 11 teams in this unusual 2020 season, the Project Ceilings A-Grade women having the privilege of being the only team to play at Charles Riley Reserve on July 4, when they confront Nollamara at 11.30am.

We are still waiting for fixtures for the Grange Residential I-Grade, so fingers crossed they could also be drawn at home in round one.
