The North Beach Football Club is searching for a coach for the Brett Jones Colts Division after club stalwart John Vance decided to stand down.

The club is looking for an assistant to John Burton, who has done an exceptional job as head colts coach in the last two seasons.

The Burton-Vance combination saw the Phil Scott Colts play off in the 2018 grand final, while the Brett Jones Division finished as minor premiers for the second successive season.

While there has not been any additional silverware from the colts group, they have played with pride and commitment against the odds. The colts competition is for players 20 and under, but North Beach has a policy of promoting its 20-year-old players to senior football.

While the Phil Scott Colts were beaten by University in the grand final, proof of the ‘big picture’ approach of the club came two hours later when the A-Reserves claimed back-to-back premierships. There were seven players in the reserves team who were eligible to play colts.
