The boredom of lazy summer days is about to end as the North Beach Amateur Football Club begins preparations for the 2013 season under new coach David Hynes.
The former West Coast premiership star is excited about the pre-season program which will begin on Tuesday, January 15.
“At all levels of football it has been my experience that there is no substitute for preparation,” Hynes said. “That’s why the next couple of months are very important as we strive to get North Beach back to the top of the tree.
“If you put the work in now, the rewards will come during the season so I would encourage all players to get involved early, build a fitness base and carry it through the season.”
There will be a different structure to the pre-season program, with an emphasis on two or three key elements, as the club looks to evolve from the highly successful era inspired by Bill Duckworth, who resigned as senior coach at the end of the 2012 season.
Players will be expected to arrive at training on Tuesday week at 5.30, complete their own warm-up and be ready for a 6pm (sharp) start.
