Process is key to success

Senior coach David Hynes is a process-driven kind of guy. Reasoning that if everything and everyone is aligned to the game plan, the rest will look after itself.

He will be hoping that occurs tomorrow when the O’Rourke Realty A-Grade team tackles 2013 premiers Wesley Curtin at South Oval.

Throughout pre-season and the early part of the season proper, attention has been placed on the game plan and developing an understanding of what is required. With an influx of fresh faces this season, that has taken a little time.

The players have developed an insight into the broad picture and with each outing are developing a better understanding of each other and the roles they need to play. So far that has gleaned just one victory from the opening three rounds and the show-down with Wesley Curtin will be important, even at this early stage.

The chance to square the leger, in terms of wins and losses, is a strong motivator and having a couple of key players returning to battle will also be important.

Co-captain Beau Witheridge and energetic midfielder Mitch Dwyer are among the inclusions as the club plots to secure four precious premiership points.

After starting slowly against Kalamunda and Fremantle CBC, the Beach will be keen to get out of the blocks quickly, sustain that effort throughout and claim victory against the reigning premier.

The task for the Credent Financial Services A-Reserves is no easier. Having lost their first game last week, fading out of the contest in the final term, the Beach will be looking for a more committed four-quarter effort.

Like-wise, the Coast to Coast Imports Phil Scott Colts face a challenge against a club that traditionally is strong in the under-20 age group and will need to at their best to claim the win.
