@o_rourke_realty A Grade | Season Wrap Up What a @o_rourke_realty A Grade | Season Wrap Up

What a year.

From my point of view, this has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding seasons I’ve had in footy.

To finish 18–2, claim the minor premiership and go on to win another A Grade flag is something I’m incredibly proud of. Going back-to-back is never easy. Expectations are higher, everyone wants to knock you off and nothing comes easily. What I loved most was how our group embraced that challenge.

We’ve spoken all year about contest, territory, pressure and execution, but what stood out most was the connection within this playing group. They genuinely cared about each other, worked hard for one another and trusted each other when it mattered most.

Sharing the success with our A Reserves and seeing both sides go back-to-back made it even more special. The relationship between the squads was as strong as I’ve seen. It never felt like two separate teams, but one senior playing group pulling in the same direction.

As coaches, we can put structures and plans in place, but the players bring them to life. This group bought in, challenged each other, accepted their roles and upheld the standards we expect at North Beach. Seeing them rewarded on Grand Final day was incredibly satisfying.

It was also fantastic to see Alex, Joey and Drew recognised with state representation throughout the season.

A massive thank you to Brett Davis, Stewart Kestel, Nic Condidorio and Leigh Kitchin. The time, energy and commitment these guys have given has been enormous, and I’ve loved coaching alongside them.

To our support staff, volunteers, committee, families and everyone behind the scenes, thank you. Premierships might be won on the field, but they’re built by an entire football club.

More than anything, I’ve genuinely enjoyed coaching this group, watching them grow, compete and enjoy their footy together.

Back-to-back A Grade premiers. Back-to-back A Reserves premiers.

A special chapter for North Beach and one I feel fortunate to have been part of.

We are North Beach. #nbfc

LifenetWA A Reserves - Season Wrap Up Another suc LifenetWA A Reserves - Season Wrap Up

Another successful season for the A Reserves, finishing the year as Premiers and setting a new PFL record with both the League and Reserves going back to back. Our ‘One Squad’ mentality is unrivalled and it is something we should all be proud of.

What I’m most proud of is the depth we’ve been able to build throughout the season. 72 players came through the A Reserves, giving us the opportunity to blood some of the club’s young talent and help develop players coming through the grades.

To have only 7 players from last year’s premiership team feature in this year’s premiership side shows just how much depth this club has. We also had 3 boys who started the season in the Colts playing in the premiership, along with 7 boys who have graduated from the Colts over the past two seasons. That’s something everyone involved with the club should be proud of.

The season wouldn’t have been what it was without the support of a lot of people.

To my assistant coach Maynie and our manager Rex, a massive thank you for your support throughout the season and for making my job a whole lot easier. I really appreciate everything you guys have done.

To Dyl and the A Grade assistants, thank you for your guidance and support throughout the season. To our physios, trainers and fitness crew, thank you for everything you put in behind the scenes to keep the boys on the park and prepared each week.

As a Reserves coach, having a strong relationship with the lower-grade coaches is hugely important. So to Hinks, a massive thank you for everything you have done, not only for me but for the club as a whole. Your support and work behind the scenes are greatly appreciated. And to all the other lower-grade coaches, thank you for your contribution throughout the year.

Lastly, a huge thank you to our sponsor Lifenet, and to Doogie and Lisa. Clubs and teams simply couldn’t operate without the support of people like you. We genuinely appreciate everything you do for us and for the club.

A premiership is a great way to finish the season, but the real win is seeing the depth, development and connection throughout the club.
